At The Landings Yacht, Golf & Tennis Club you’ll be part of a team where servicing our residents, renters and guests is our highest priority. The Landings is situated on 250 acres of riverfront splendor and boasts an 18 hole executive golf course, 13 lighted Har-Tru courts, competition-sized swimming pool, 18 stocked lakes to fish, landscaped paths plus a private harbor and marina.
The Line Cook is a key player in ensuring we are serving the best quality food tour guests. Our cooks are responsible for the daily preparation of food items and station management. Duties include set-up, stocking and preparing food in accordance with the Landings Yacht, Golf and Tennis Club standards, ensuring cleanliness, proper safety procedures, and organizing kitchen, walk-in coolers and storage areas. Teamwork is essential and is what we’re all about at the Landings!
Job responsibilities and requirements will include, but are not limited to:
•Must be at least 18 years old
•A minimum of 2 years’ experience in dining or an equivalent service environment required
•Loves to cook!
•Hard-working, team player
•Basic knowledge of professional cooking and experience in knife handling
•Knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures
•Ability to stand and walk for up to 10 hours per day
•Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
•Ability to exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to 6 hours in length
•Ability to work within the following conditions: wet floors, temperature extremes, and loud noise
•Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
•Ability to communicate and understand the primary language of the work location
•Ability to follow recipes and instructions
•Must be able to work weekend and holidays
Job Type: Full Time.
Compensation: $15.00 to $17.00 Per Hour Depending on Experience
