Summary:  The maintenance technician position, under limited supervision, performs work of routine maintenance; performs related work as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned. 

Performs routine and basic maintenance on building interior and exterior light Electrical, light HVAC on appliances, controls, vacuuming, & cleaning, Pool testing/inspection of chemicals, controls, vacuuming and cleaning, Laundry & Chemical runs to other properties.

Contacts and schedules vendors and contractors for necessary building repairs and emergencies that are outside the scope of routine maintenance.

Maintains a schedule of when maintenance has been performed and when next service is due.

Works in a safe manner and recognizes unsafe situations.

Takes appropriate action to ensure safety of themselves and others in building.

Required Education/Experience:

High school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience.

Basic mechanical, electrical, carpentry, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) skills with some Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) systems experience.

Preferred Education and Experience: Knowledge of mechanical, electrical or industrial maintenance.

Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak one-on-one and in small groups to employees and clients.

Math Ability:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:

Open and edits existing documents. Navigate in internet browser/s and perform search. Select and move text, print documents.

Certificates and Licenses:

No certifications needed, pool certification preferred but not necessary.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. Hours of work and days vary based on operational needs including weekends, holidays or evening hours.

Travel: Travel among the three clubs and pick up chemicals from PAC.
