Lake Blackshear Resort / Georgia Veterans State Park , located in Cordele, Georgia, is looking for extraordinary Park and Grounds Personnel ! There are full time and part time positions. Lake Blackshear Resort / Georgia Veterans State Park has 88 villa and lake cabin rooms, and 82 camp sites located on a beautiful 8800 acre cypress lake with restaurant, bar, conference center, marina with a lake restaurant, 18 hole-golf course, fishing and family/children’s programs. We are managed by the Southeast's premiere hospitality management company, Coral Hospitality.
Summary: This is a great opportunity for a hard-working, cheerful individual to work in a resort atmosphere. The best person for this position will demonstrate good work ethic, dependability, teamwork and a willingness to learn.
Maintain overall maintenance and cleanliness of Park facilities and grounds to insure a positive guest experience. This individual will be responsible for cutting grass with a zero turn mower or tractor and mower, trimming hedges, weed eating, picking up limbs from grounds, picking up trash from grounds. This person is also responsible for cleaning park restrooms, emptying garbage cans, and sometimes light maintenance such as painting or digging up a water line with hand tools, and landscaping. Candidate must be able to lift 50 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds frequently.
EXPERIENCE: You must have at least one year verifiable work experience, preferably out of doors. Prior experience operating zero turn mowers or tractors is a plus but not required. Must have valid driver license with good record.
